Catalyst Conquest™ USB Test Systems Now Provide the Lowest Cost Full-Function USB Protocol Analyzers

San Jose, CA, December 5, 2006 - Catalyst Enterprises, a leading manufacturer of advanced design verification and test tools for high-performance communications technologies, today announced the introduction of new configurations of its Conquest USB protocol analyzer at the industry’s lowest prices. Conquest is now available in three different configurations to provide hardware, software and verification engineers a selection of price and functionality.

Catalyst introduced its first USB protocol analyzer in 2000. Conquest, Catalyst’s third generation of USB analyzers, began shipping more than a year ago. Conquest’s power is primarily in the extreme ease-of-use of capturing and decoding USB traffic. The advanced Catalyst Trace™ display shows the captured USB traffic to users at low level or at high level, in summary or in detail, and with advanced decoding options that can be specified by the user. All Conquest USB protocol analyzers offer 128 MB of trace memory and provide connectivity to a host PC using either a USB or Ethernet connection. The Conquest Classic Analyzer offers the best value in the market for analyzing USB 1.1 systems and devices. The Conquest Standard Analyzer supports both USB 1.1 and 2.0, and includes basic triggering and filtering. The Conquest Advanced has advanced triggering and statistical reporting. All three configurations include a full three-year warranty.

"Conquest has been an industry leader in power and ease of use. These configurations will now also make Conquest the clear leader in price," said Mike Micheletti, Product Marketing Manager. "This selection of configurations will allow our customers to maximize their budget while they are also maximizing their engineers’ productivity and product quality. "
