LeCroy Upgrades USB 3.0 Protocol Verification System; Demonstrates Interoperability at SuperSpeed USB Developers Conference

USB Implementer’s Forum Developers Conference, San Jose CA, - November 17, 2008;
LeCroy Corporation, a leading supplier of USB protocol test solutions, today demonstrated new capabilities in its Voyager protocol verification platform to support USB 3.0 development. The enhancements enable improved productivity for early adopters bringing up prototype devices. LeCroy’s Voyager USB 3.0 protocol verification platform began shipping in August 2008 and now includes support USB 3.0 event triggering and graphical bus utilization reports.

Offering ten times the speed of USB 2.0 and backward compatibility with legacy devices, USB 3.0 represents a significant challenge for design and test teams working to debug SuperSpeed data transfers. USB 3.0 relies on link training to synchronize communication between devices. Triggering and filtering of these training sequences is critical for analyzer memory management and efficient testing.
