LeCroy Releases Compliance Suite Software to Support Link Layer Specification Version 1.0

LeCroy USB Compliance Test Suite is approved by the USB Implementer’s Forum for Performing SuperSpeed USB Link Layer Testing

International CES, Las Vegas, NV, January 10th, 2012 - LeCroy Corporation, a worldwide leader in serial data test solutions, announced the official release of their compliance test suite that adheres to the newly ratified USB 3.0 Link Layer Test Specification 1.0. The LeCroy compliance test suite is an approved Link Verification System (LVS) by the USB-IF and is used during SuperSpeed USB compliance workshops for testing link layer conformance. Available as a software option for their Voyager platform, the LeCroy compliance suite debuted in 2009 and has been extensively tested with the help of many USB 3.0 developers that use the LeCroy Voyager system as part of their internal verification testing.

The USB-IF's Link Layer compliance specification includes 37 test cases that verify hundreds of link layer test assertions from the USB 3.0 base specification. LeCroy's turnkey compliance software provides a graphical console that steps through the test process and generates pass/fail reports identifying possible violations. The suite specifically addresses link layer error recovery, link state timing and power management behaviors.
