Teledyne LeCroy Offers New 288-pin DDR4 Interposer
Designed to support JEDEC updated DDR4 288-pin memory modules operating at up to 3200 MT/s
DesignCon, Santa Clara, CA, January 29, 2014 - Teledyne LeCroy, the worldwide leader in protocol test solutions, has upgraded the Kibra 480 DDR protocol analyzer platform with probing options to support DDR4 memory modules with JEDEC's new 288 pin edge connector. The new interposers support DDR4 U-DIMM, R-DIMM, and LR-DIMM and operate non-intrusively to monitor two DIMMs per channel at speeds up to 3200 MT/s.
Designed for use with the LeCroy Kibra 480 protocol analyzer, the new interposers sit in the DIMM memory socket and can accommodate both 288 pin or prototype 284 pin memory modules. The new interposers leverage the same high-fidelity probing technology that originally debuted with the Kibra 284 pin interposer to provide instant signal lock and reliable capture of the DDR4 power-on sequence.
The industry's first standalone protocol analyzer for both DDR3 and DDR4, the Kibra 480 system was introduced in February 2012 and provides traditional waveform views as well as decoded state listings that show DDR command timing. Specialized trigger logic is capable of identifying over 65 JEDEC violations across all ranks and banks simultaneously. Using industry standard non-intrusive slot interposer probes, the system provides a flexible platform for testing and analyzing DDR3 and DDR4 memory subsystems. The new interposer probe will begin shipping to customers in April 2014.
