The Sierra family SAS SATA protocol analyzers can support capture and analysis of SATA based M.2 SSDs with the use of the 3rd party adapters below.
1) The SATA III to M.2 (NGFF) Storage adapter above is available through third-party cable vendors. It provides one 7+15pin connector on the host connection and one 67-pin B key M.2 receptacle for the SSD storage device. The board includes jumper pins to configure for use with SATA Dev Sleep devices (SATA Power Pin 3). It can be used with standard SATA-III integrated power and data cables to connect to the target side of the Sierra protocol analyzer.
2) The Adapter M.2 NGFF to SATA 7 pin is available through third-party cable vendors. It provides one standard SATA 7 pin connector and one 67-pin B key M.2 male connector for the M.2 receptacle. It can be used with standard SATA-III data cables to connect to the host side of the Sierra protocol analyzer.
