Teledyne LeCroy Eases Connected Car Development with Automotive Technology Center in Detroit

Detroit, Michigan, October 26, 2016 – Teledyne LeCroy, the worldwide leader in advanced oscilloscopes and protocol test solutions, including Bluetooth protocol analysis and testing services, is pleased to announce the Automotive Solutions Group, along with the opening of a new Automotive Technology Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The Teledyne LeCroy Automotive Solutions Group will have core competencies aimed at helping companies advance the development and use of a wide range of technologies within the connected car.

As cars become more complex and ever more connected, automobile manufacturers are faced with the daunting challenge of keeping up with numerous technologies and thoroughly testing their design implementations to ensure that the many systems and technologies work together in harmony. The task of developing and testing these complex automotive systems is challenging, but is now made much easier with the help of the Teledyne LeCroy Automotive Solutions Group. From testing wired inter-system networks including CAN Bus, CAN FD and FlexRay to troubleshooting wireless IoT networks using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC technologies to debugging issues with wired protocols like USB, Ethernet and HDMI, the Automotive Solutions Group offers assistance with root cause and protocol analysis. At the Automotive Technology Center, Teledyne LeCroy staff can help test and troubleshoot mechanical and drivetrain system issues, servo and motor controls, automotive and cyber security, technology conformance and compliance challenges, and help to identify and resolve safety concerns. The end goal of the Automotive Solutions Group is to improve overall customer vehicle ratings across key categories, including safety, security, durability, performance, conformance, interoperability, and reliability.
