Provides an unprecedented combination of functional and compliance testing for video, audio and protocol of DisplayPort devices.
The Teledyne LeCroy quantumdata M41d Video Analyzer/Generator compact versatile test instrument offering entry level functional testing that can be extended through software licenses to a full compliance tester with sophisticated analysis and diagnostic capabilities. The M41d supports HBR3 data rates including 1.62, 2.70, 5.40 & 8.10 Gbps on 1, 2 & 4 lanes on both the Tx and Rx ports. All features and functions are supported on both DP standard connectors and USB-C connectors using DP Alt Mode.
The quantumdata M41d offers a scalable feature set for testing DP 1.4 source and sink devices with quick real-time views as well as full capture of main line video including meta data and AUX transactions. Invaluable for testing silicon development boards, displays, docking stations, hubs, USB-C adapters, retimers and extenders. The video generator includes all the standard video timings and test patterns necessary for testing DP 1.4 displays. The optional Auxiliary Channel Analyzer (ACA) utility enables you to view the link training transactions, EDID and HDCP exchanges, including HDCP 2.2/2.3, as well as the MST sideband messages. A wide range of official VESA compliance test packages are available including a complete API for running verification tests in unattended mode.
The M41d Basic Analyzer allows users to view the incoming video, lanes and link rate, timing, colorimetry, and various metadata in real time at a glance. It provides instant confirmation of the negotiated resolution and a representation of the video image. The Rx port emulates any EDID to verify a source can discover and configure a wide range of displays. Similar controls are available in the DPCD Editor to allow emulation of various DP Rx parameters.
The M41d DisplayPort Analyzer/Generator is approved by VESA for link layer compliance testing of source and sink devices including power management, Display Stream Compression (DSC), and Forward Error Correction (FEC). Additional compliance test packages for EDID sink compliance and HDCP 2.2 are also available.
