Key Features

The Eclipse M52 is an analyzer/exerciser supporting MIPI® M-PHY™ HS-Gear5 at speeds up to 23Gbps, the Eclipse M52x stands as the markets most complete analyzer/exerciser. The Eclipse M52 analyzes bi-directional UniPro and UFS traffic, performing protocol sequence and timing analysis and packet header and payload inspection, to provide complete protocol debug and analysis of UFS/UniPro devices. It supports MIPI UniPro v2.0 / M-PHY v5.0 HS-G5 as well as older generations of those protocols.

The UniPro M52 Series Exerciser Analyzer includes the UniPro and UFS CTS defined for each protocol. The analyzer can do trace validation for those specifications whether the Analyzer is being used as the exerciser or between a host and storage device. The UniPro M Series Protocol Suite also includes additional debug tests that validate performance / latency conditions, Read / Write operations, validation of sequencing, errors, additional power mode and verification tests. A few key features:

  • CTS Test Case execution
  • Stress, Margin and corner case testing
  • Trace Validation feature and Trace Builder scripting
  • Advanced Triggering
  • Pre-Capture Hardware filtering
  • Optional solder probe for superior probing in demanding test environments with sub-optimal signal integrity
  • Complete debug and analysis solution with combined stimulus and Trace Validation expert system analysis.
  • Custom, user-defined test case creation with Stimulus Builder scripting

Trace Validation

Sample Trace Validation:

Trace Validation powers several of the Eclipse M52's most exciting features. Trace Validation uses state machine logic to analyze captured traces algorithmically without user intervention. It identifies transactions on the link by analyzing millions of packets in a trace capture, then evaluates the complete protocol sequences and individual packets for conformance to the specification. Trace Validation finds the problems an engineer can't.

Compliance/Conformance Test Specifications (CTS)

The Eclipse M52 is capable of doing a complete set of UniPro Conformance and UFS Compliances tests. In addtion the M52 can validate UniPro and UFS beyond the CTS test defined by the standards. The UniPro M52 Series Exerciser Analyzer includes many important additional validations:

Don’t let your devices that utilize UFS technologies into the market without being fully validated. Avoid costly rework and incompatibility issue using advanced testing and validation. When testing with link partners validate that everything properly follows the defined protocols.

MPHY HS-G5 Solder-In Probe

The M-PHY GEAR5 Teledyne LeCroy Solder-In Probe allows developers using an embedded bus in their PCB designs to tap into the signal traces directly and capture bus traffic for protocol analysis and debugging. The probe connects to a Teledyne LeCroy Eclipse M52 Analyzer via a Probe Amplifier.
