Catalyst Releases New Value-Priced USB Analyzer/Exerciser

San Jose, CA, October 26, 2005 - Catalyst Enterprises, Inc., a leading manufacturer of advanced design verification and test tools for Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Advanced Serial ATA (SATA), PCI ExpressTM, USB 2.0, Wireless USB, and other high performance I/O technologies, today announced availability of the Catalyst ConquestTM Series, USB analyzer/exerciser. The Conquest leverages technology from several generations of Catalyst USB development tools to deliver superior functionality at an exceptional price.

“Industry development for USB products remains robust, nearly 10 years after the introduction of the original USB specification,” stated Jim Yasueda, vice-president of sales and marketing, Catalyst Enterprises, Inc. “While our existing line of advanced USB development tools has clearly achieved industry leadership through feature innovation and advanced functionality, there exists a significant demand for a highly-capable, economically-priced USB analyzer/exerciser product. The Conquest meets this need head-on by providing unsurpassed capabilities in the value-priced market.”

CONQUEST Delivers USB Analysis and Host Emulation Capabilities
The Conquest delivers powerful, single-port USB protocol analysis for all USB speeds. In addition, a host emulator (exerciser) is available, which permits the user to generate compliant and non-compliant USB traffic to a USB device under test. An optional advanced mode capability provides powerful enhancements to the capture, trigger, and exerciser features. Protocol support is provided for the emerging Wireless USB (WUSB) technology. The Conquest may be operated over a LAN or directly connected via high-speed USB.
