Teledyne LeCroy expands Protocol Solutions offerings into wireless protocols including Bluetooth® and 802.11(Wi-Fi) with acquisition of Frontline Test Equipment
Teledyne LeCroy Inc. announced today that it has acquired Frontline Test Equipment, Inc., the market leader in Bluetooth protocol analysis test tools and packet sniffers, as well as analysis and emulation tools for a wide range of additional technologies.
Teledyne LeCroy is the market leader in protocol test tools for well known serial data standards like USB, PCI Express, SAS, and SATA. The Company's strategy is to continue to expand its protocol offerings into additional wired and wireless data communication standards with the goal to be the market leader in each protocol standard.
Teledyne LeCroy expects that acquiring Frontline will enable it to:
- Broaden its offering of Serial Data Protocol Analysis and Test Tools.
- Capitalize on growing customer demand for Bluetooth test tools.
- Further penetrate the automotive market for emerging serial data test requirements.
- Position Teledyne LeCroy to support Internet of Things (IoT) emergence including Health and Fitness sensor integration.
