QPHY2-PCIE4-TX-RX PCI Express 4.0 electrical transmitter and receiver software is a fully automated test solution meeting the PCIe 4.0 Base specification and PCIe 4.0 PHY Test Specification requirements for characterizing and compliance testing both transmitters and receivers.
Transmitter Characterization
In-depth debug and characterization analysis by emulating the transmitter’s reference PLL and CTLE behaviors to ensure the electrical signal timing and jitter meet the compliance specification.
Receiver Calibration
To test a PCI Express receiver, the signal applied must meet stipulated voltage swing and preset levels, precisely calibrated noise and jitter impairments, and a prescribed level of eye closure due to channel loss. QPHY2-PCIE4-TX-RX controls both the oscilloscope and BERT to automate the entire iterative calibration process.

Link Equalization Visibility with ProtoSync
During transmitter link equalization, the transmitter's emphasis not only needs to respond to the correct equalization request, it needs to change within a specified time. The voltage waveform has information on when the change occurs at the physical layer, but not when the change request was made in protocol. ProtoSync leverages Teledyne LeCroy's industry-standard protocol analysis software to decode the acquired waveform up to the transaction layer. This enables QualiPHY 2 to determine the precise timing of the equalization change request, for full visibility into link training behavior.
